New Hair Trend-The Fishtail Braid

Recently I have been seeing the Fishtail braid in mags, ads, and on celebs. I always though it was really hard to do since it looks kinda complicated, but it's not! Here's how:

1. you can put into a pony tail holder or not, but separate the hair you want to use into two pieces.

2. take a small piece from the OUTTER part of pile A and bring over to join with pile B. Repeat with the other side. You are basically taking a tiny piece from one side to the other, back and forth, all the way down. It does require a little finger holding action, so in that sense it might take a bit to get the hang of it. Just practice on yourself or someone else. The cool thing is the style is irregular and knotty looking, so it doesn't need to be perfect.

3. keep going until the braid is as long as you want it to be and tie with an elastic. You can make it as loose and messy as you want, with irregular sized pieces or maybe ribbon twisted in there too!
