Top 5 Nail Trends for the New Season

Hey Sassies! Here is a list of the Top 5 Nail Trends for the New Season! Nothing is more fun and pampering then getting a mani-pedi with your girls. But I usually have the HARDEST time picking out a nail polish color once I get there. Check out these hot nail ideas so you can go in knowing exactly what you want!

1. White Hot. Tons of celebrities have been spotted sporting this nail trend that looks like they've been painted with white-out. I personally love it. It is fresh and really shows off great skin. Looks best on a shorter squared nail. Add some clear rhinestones at the cuticle for a glam look.

2. Matte Manicure. Many nail polish companies came out with a matte line this year. Hipsters all over the globe rock this look. OPI made one of my favorite colors "Russian Navy" in a matte formula-you can buy it here on Amazon. Essie came out with a top coat "Matte About You" that will turn any nail polish into a matte finish, genius!

3. Shimmery Shiny Metallics. Fabulously flashy, not trashy! The modern metallic nail trend has more of a mirrored slick finish than a glittery hot mess. Glitter can be a good time, but it is not part of this trend report. I love turning my toes into little silver plated jewels.

4. Black is Wack. This just in-black is out this season. Replace the trusty punky hue with one of the new edgy nail colors on the block: gray and taupe. I know, this nail trend sounds like colors you might paint your living room, but they look totally wicked and unique on your nails. Go on, everybody's doing it. Try OPI's "Over The Taupe" or "You Don't Know Jacques!" for taupe and China Glaze's Recycle for gray.

5. Animal Instinct. Last but not least we have our fierce feral friends. Zebra, leopard, giraffe, tiger, and many more have lent their fine animal prints for this nail trend. Don't be afraid to take it a step further and don some wacky patterns like houndstooth or pinstripes. Best to leave this nail trend to the professionals but if you are feeling creative, check out this stamping kit or nail polish pens to make it a bit easier.

Have another nail trend to share? Did you try one of these? We would love to hear from our Sassies!
