Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to list my salon?

Listing is free.  All you need is to have a hair or beauty salon (we do not list unrelated businesses) and a valid email address to register with.  Fill in the form, and your salon will be listed.  You will be emailed a password which you can use to Update your listing with additional information such as a photograph and details of services, opening hours, etc.

How do I update my listing.

  1. Navigate to your listing page
  2. Click on 'Update this listing'
  3. Enter your password and click SUBMIT

This will load the update page.  There are sections for you to fill in salon contact details, general information about your salon including opening hours and a photo, services and products.

Don't forget to click on the Finish button to SAVE your changes.

Javascript needs to be enabled for you to use the update feature.

Someone posted a bad review about my salon. How do I take it down?

Manage reviews on your listing page by updating your listing (See above 'How do I update my listing')

Reviews are listed on the 6th tab of the update form.  Check the box to delete any reviews you would like removed from your listing.  Then click Finish and Save.

My salon has closed down, how can I remove my listing.

If you have a recent Quarterly Update email from sassable, the easiest way is to click on the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email, then select 'Business closed down' as the reason for unsubscribing.  Your listing will be removed.

Otherwise, you need to follow the steps to log in and update your listing, then click on the Manage subscription link to unsubscribe.

If no-one is registered as the owner of the salon, then you can follow these steps to remove the listing:

  1. From the salon listing page click on Contact this salon
  2. A message will display that there is no registered email address with a link to click for an Invalid Phone Number.
  3. Click on the invalid phone number link.

The map is not showing the correct address for my salon.

The map point is set using an automated query of google maps data.  If the address is not recognised correctly or has been changed, the map point may be incorrect.

To fix it, log in to the update page for your salon.

  1. Click on the Get Map Point link next to the map point field
  2. In the pop-up map window, drag the marker to the correct location and click Use this point
  3. Click Next and Finish to go to the last tab and save the listing

What's my password?

You will have been emailed a password when your salon was registered.  You can also check your Quarterly Update email as your password is printed in the email.  If you can't find your password, use the Forgotten password link on the login form.  This will generate a new email of your password.

If you do not know the email address you registered with, or nolonger use that email address, you will not be able to get a password reminder email.  In this case, please use the Contact Us form to request an email and password reset.

After you login, you can change your password to something which is easy for you to remember.
