Be on Top of Fashion Going Back to it's "Roots"
These days I cannot enter a store without being bombarded by floral and aztec (a mix of African, Mexican, Indian, Santa Fe, etc) prints. It is very fresh and on trend. I love the versatility of these prints because you can find bright ones or more subdued, fancy or casual, expensive or cheap, young or old...there is something for everyone.
The most prominent items in these prints are the sundress, skirt, culotte (those flowy short type things), and romper. Rompers (the little one piece short/dress) are out of control popular right now. Tons of celebrities are wearing these trends. They are usually made from a thin material and as the weather gets warmer they are super easy to mix with a light cardigan, tank, or tee to beat the heat AND look super stylish.
Now don't be scared of these prints. You might think florals are a little grade school and aztec-y prints are too crazy, but really, the trick is to find the right one for you. You will know when you see it. Fashion at first sight if you will. My personal print soul mates are darker florals preferably on black and brighter aztec prints I especially love it to have lots of sunset-ish colors like oranges, yellows, and reds. What's your perfect match?
