You see those celebrities with their perfectly sculpted cheeks and wonder how in the name of all that are good and beautiful those cheeks come to life.

You don't need a makeup artist or professional training to get the same results. Curious? Read on.

First you have to determine which color is closest to your natural shade. This you can do by looking at the mirror right after a workout. Another way to do this is by lightly tapping your cheeks until they turn pink.

Second, choose which kind of blush suits your skin best.Oily and combination skin work better with powder blushes while dry skin will benefit from cream-based ones. You can also go by season- use powder during the warm weather and cream on chilly days.

Apply powder brush using a professional brush- the ones that come with your blush just can't do the trick well. If you're using cream-based or cheek stains, dab three dots on your cheeks and use your ring finger to blend it well. To find out where the apples of your cheeks are, smile while putting on the blush. This may look silly, but it works. The fullest part of your cheek is where you should concentrate the color on.

Lastly, apply a little shimmer on the center of your apple to create a fuller set of cheeks.

Remember, bronzers work differently from blushes, so do not apply blushes the same way you apply bronzers lest you want to look like you're having a sunburn.
